PENNSYLVANIA -- As reported by the Pocono Record: "For the second week in a row, Mount Airy led all Pennsylvania casinos in weekly gains, continuing a strong summer performance by the state's only stand-alone slots parlor.
"Mount Airy posted wagers of $52.5 million last week, up almost 6 percent from the prior week. Gross Terminal Wagers reached $3.8 million, and the casino's payout rate jumped to 92.1 percent.
"Last week's wagers were the forth highest ever posted by the Paradise Township casino.
"In contrast, betting across the state fell 2.4 percent to $412 million, and gross terminal wagers dropped by 3.3 percent to $32.4. The state's average payout was 91.3 percent..."
