Thunder Valley unveils new poker area

LINCOLN, California -- As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle: "Previously one of the few San Francisco gambling establishments without live poker, Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln (Placer County) opened its own poker area this month.

"The section comprises eight automated Lightning Poker tables that offer three games of no-limit Texas Hold 'Em, a variety of levels of limit Texas Hold 'Em, Omaha Hi-Lo and Omaha.

"The poker area also features regular bad-beat jackpots and will offer live tournaments in the future.

"David Delucia, vice president of casino operations, says the room was a direct response to years of customer demands for live poker. The casino was able to cut costs by using automated machines instead of hiring dealers..."
