GUAM -- As reported by The Pacific Daily News: "More than 1,000 people from all walks of life showed up at Guam Greyhound Park yesterday for a job fair held by proponents of Proposal A.
"Positions available ranged from entry level to management positions in construction, hospitality, and convention center management. All are dependent on the passage of the voter initiative.
"Proposal A, the Responsible Gaming Act, is the latest initiative to license casino gambling at the Greyhound Park. Proposal A is different from previous gambling initiatives in that it's targeted at visitors -- it limits access to those 'who show a ticket, boarding pass or other proof of travel departing Guam after the date of admission, but no later than 30 days after the date of admission.'
"...Prop A would have to create at least 500 jobs at the casino site including the convention center employees, entertainers, security and maintenance, according to the initiative..."
