LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- A fight between two women in front of the registration desk at Bally's on the Las Vegas Strip escalated into a stabbing at about 6 a.m. today, Metro Police said.

The woman who was stabbed was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she died, a preliminary police report said. Police have cordoned off an area outside of Bally's this morning while they investigate a parked car.

The two women, both in their early 20s, got into an argument in the Bally's lobby. One woman stabbed the other in the neck and fled, police said.

The suspect is still at large and police, with hotel security guards, are looking for the woman, said Metro Police Officer Jose Montoya.
