Terry Fator to perform live at Trump Taj Mahal

24 October 2008

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Ventriloquist, singer, comedian and celebrity impressionist, Terry Fator, along with his many "friends" will be performing in the Xanadu Theater at Trump Taj Mahal on Friday, November 21 at 9 p.m. and Saturday, November 22 at 8 p.m. Doors will open one hour prior to show time each night.

Terry Fator won the hearts of America when he was selected as America's Got Talent 2007 $1 Million Dollar Prize Winner on NBC-TV. Although it took him nearly 32 years to become an "overnight sensation," his key decision to blend his incredible skills with his amazing ability to mimic famous singers won over the judges and millions of fans who voted for him.

Fator is perhaps the first entertainer to combine the art of ventriloquism with singing celebrity impressions. His puppets, including Cowboy Walter, Emma Taylor and Winston the Impersonating Turtle, effortlessly perform the singing styles of an eclectic group of stars including: Tony Bennett, Elvis, Maroon 5, Garth Brooks, Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole, Roy Orbison, Etta James, Gnarls Barkley, James Blunt, Brooks & Dunn, Louis Armstrong and even Kermit The Frog.

The Dallas native is prominently featured in the current season of America's Got Talent where it airs on NBC-TV on Tuesdays. According to the show's producer, Cecile Frot-Coutaz, Terry's success "Is a true testament to his talent as an entertainer and has really raised the bar for our upcoming third season."

He has performed on The Oprah Winfrey Show and his all-time dream appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman. He's being called "one of the best entertainers in the world" by America's Got Talent creator and Executive Producer, Simon Cowell.

Having pursued a conventional performing career in entertainment for 15 years, in 2001 he decided to follow his dream of mimicry and ventriloquism. Fator believes that he is an illusionist with puppets and his cast of seven original puppet characters is quite unique.

Prior to his America's Got Talent win, Fator shared the stage with Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Neal McCoy, Styx, and performed for some of the largest corporations in the United States including: General Motors, AT&T, Midas Muffler, etc.

Tickets for Terry Fator at Trump Taj Mahal are priced at $149, $55 & $39.50. The $149 VIP ticket includes a "meet and greet" with photo opportunity and autographed picture.
