Alberta gaming revenue highest since 2008

ALBERTA, Canada -- Alberta will rake in $1.48 billion in gambling revenue this year, the Edmonton Journal reported.

This is the highest amount of revenue the province has earned since 2008 and has some people questioning whether there are enough responsible gaming provisions in place, the report said.

The Alberta Gaming Research Institute are researching this question and examing the current programs that are in place, according to the Edmonton Journal report.
