Antigua and Barbuda protest proposed U.S. online poker bill

29 October 2012

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA -- Antigua and Barbuda are protesting the implications of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's online poker bill, The Hill reported.

Antigua is unhappy that the proposed legislation will unfairly target offshore online gambling operators, the report said.

Antigua has had an ongoing dispute with the United States and has filed complaints with the World Trade Organization, The Hill said.

Senator Reid's people pointed out that bill is only in draft form and the wording has yet to be finalized, The Hill noted.
