Belarus leans toward regulated gambling

MINSK, Belarus -- The President of Belarus wants to embrace "well-regulated" gambling, UPI reported.

The President was quoted at a cabinet meeting as saying problems with corruption and criminality can be "avoided" with careful planning and ongoing scrutiny, the report said.

Well regulated gambling could be a solution to raise government revenue in Belarus, the UPI report noted.
