LONDON, England -- British MPs voted against an opposition bill that would have clamped down on gambling machines, The Guardian reported.
The opposition party, The Labour Party, were calling for local councils to have new powers to limit the quantity of fixed odds betting terminals in their geographic area, the report said.
The Prime Minister cited reading an impending report on the machines before he would act on the issue, The Guardian report said.
