Caesars, Golden Boy Promotions team up to "knock out" Sandy's damage at AC Boys & Girls Club

13 November 2012

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Caesars Atlantic City and Golden Boy Promotions are proud to support the local Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City following the tragic aftermath of hurricane Sandy. A portion of Saturday’s Adrien Broner and Antonio DeMarco bout at Boardwalk Hall will be donated to the embattled youth shelter. Additionally, on Wednesday featured fighters Adrien Broner and Seth Mitchell will visit the N. Pennsylvania Ave. Boys & Girls Club at 3:30 p.m. and lend their services to the post-Sandy cleanup.

“Sandy not only breached the walls of the Boys & Girls Club, but the lives of each and every member here in Atlantic City,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, John Smith. “So it’s with great honor that we announce this donation to an organization that embodies the never-give-up attitude of New Jersey. We will not sit idly by and allow anything to compromise these impressionable youths. We wholeheartedly thank Golden Boy for their generosity and continued community efforts, as they know all too well the positive impact this money will make to the Atlantic City’s Boys & Girls Club.”

To raise community hope and spirit to those children and adolescents so greatly devastated in the wake of this past week’s events, Caesars Entertainment and Golden Boy Promotions will donate a total of $4 for each ticket sold to the November 17th boxing event. Additionally, Caesars Entertainment will donate another $1,000 for every knockout during the entire night of action, with Golden Boy Promotions matching and adding to the much-needed donation. The donation is a gift to the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City and will be used to restore the Boys & Girls Club's vital services provided to the youth of the East Coast community.
