Card Player Poker Tour heading to Foxwoods

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Card Player Poker Tour will makes its third stop of Season II at Foxwoods Resort Casino & MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn., from Feb. 8-17, 2014.

The 11-tournament series will begin with a $600 no-limit hold’em $100,000 guarantee and will wrap up with a $300 no-limit hold’em $20,000 guarantee. Each tournament will offer guaranteed prize pool, said Poker Tournament Director Juan DeJesus.

Other tournaments on the schedule include a $250 Omaha hi-lo 8 or better $10,000 guarantee, a $300 no-limit hold’em $75,000 guarantee and a $400 no-limit hold’em $75,000 guarantee.

The focal point of the series will be the $1,650 no-limit hold’em main event, which promises players a prize pool of at least $300,000.

The famed resort is the largest casino in the Western Hemisphere, covering more than six million square feet of non-stop entertainment options. The six-casino complex is home to more than 5,800 slot machines, 350 table games and one of the largest bingo halls in the world. The property also offers for then 2,200 rooms in four distinct hotel towers, chef-branded dining at more than 30 restaurants, night clubs, entertainment venues, two spas, high end retail shops and a championship golf course.
