CHICAGO, Illinois -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- WMS Gaming Inc., a Scientific Games company, announced today that a player hit a big jackpot on a WMS wide-area progressive game at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma on April 28, 2014. Thirty-five year-old Dorothy Bozeman received the thrill of a lifetime when she scored a jackpot of over $1 million on a WMS THE WIZARD OF OZ Gamefield xD machine.
Texas native Dorothy was visiting the Choctaw Casino while her husband was on a business visit in Durant when she was drawn to a particular machine because of the THE WIZARD OF OZ slot theme. It worked out in her favor. Dorothy played about $40 on the machine before she hit the massive jackpot. After the winning spin, she was nearly speechless, and could only express her joy with, "Holy cow!" When asked how she would spend her winnings, Dorothy responded, "No idea. I'm still in shock."
Dean Ehrlich, WMS SVP of Global Gaming Operations, said, "The $1 million jackpot at the Choctaw Casino is a life-changing event for Dorothy and her family, and we could not be more excited for her. Perhaps when the shock wears off she'll spring for a new pair of Ruby Slippers."

Players can choose between Follow the Yellow Brick Road, The Wizard of Oz, Wicked Riches, or Glinda the Good Witch—four unique themes that spark nostalgia for the timeless classic while utilizing modern slot technology, creating an engaging and exciting game for fans of the iconic film.
