LONDON, England -- The National Lottery say doubling the ticket price will create more winners, according to reports in The Guardian.
A ticket will now cost £2 per line, the report said.
Some number of number matching prizes (3,4 numbers) will increase, while strangely some prizes will actually fall in value, the Guardian report explained.
This is the first increase in ticket price since the lottery started and is based on customer research, The Guardian reported.
