It’s tucked away in a corner of the busy table game floor of Gold Strike Casino Resort but the large and bright chandelier there is like lighthouse beacon showing you the way to the new high limit slot room that is drawing solid reviews from patrons who like the challenge of high paying machines.
“The room, surrounded by a half wall for more privacy than the former area, was designed to benefit the comfort of our players,” said Phil Hunter, director of casino operations. “The new seating is a key component that adds major comfort and the best experience possible.”
The new lighting and wall décor also add to the room’s ambience providing a warm, yet exciting atmosphere. The range of units has been extended and there are now a 100 different machines, not to mention something new….26 progressive units with some going all the way up to $250,000. You can play in denominations from $5 to $100.
The popular slots are all there and include beside my all-time favorite, Double Diamonds, Double Gold, All Star Poker, Tabasco, White Ice, Madame X, and the hot Quick Hit Double Jackpot.
“The benefits we had from developing the room resulted from a strong feedback from our players. We listened to them and they are happy with the final product,” said Hunter.
This writer has requested early on that my favorite slot machine be installed and I was not disappointed on a recent visit to see that Double Diamond units were waiting for me. The service in the room from slot attendants was quick and servers made frequent rounds keeping my glass full. I don’t know how much was spent to upgrade the new room but it sure looked like a million bucks. Was my hopper full? I can’t reveal that on the grounds it might incriminate me with the IRS. I did go home smiling, however.
