Hurricane Sandy blasts Atlantic City and New York

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Hurricane Sandy hit Atlantic City around 6.45pm, NBC News reported.

Gov. Chris Christie advised people who had not evacuated in time to stay put and to go to the highest place possible in their dwellings and wait it out, the report said.

4 people have been reported killed by Hurricane Sandy and over 3 million people are without electricity in New Jersey and New York, NBC News reported.
