Hurricane Sandy closes down Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Atlantic City casinos have closed in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy making landfall, the Press of Atlantic City reported.

Hurricane Sandy is not predicted to inflict the same financial gouge on Atlantic City as Hurricane Irene did, the report said.

Casinos have been boarded up for the second time in three decades, the Press of Atlantic City said.
