Judge denies motion to block Baltimore casino construction

BALTIMORE, Maryland -- A judge has ruled against an anti-casino group's efforts to stall construction on a Baltimore casino, The Baltimore Sun reported.

The group alleged there was improper cleanup of industrial contamination on the site where the casino is due to be built, the report said.

The Horseshoe Baltimore casino will begin construction next month and open in summer 2014, according to the Baltimore Sun report.
