Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear still pushing for expanded gambling amendment

KENTUCKY -- Kentucky's Gov. Steve Beshear may take a different approach to casino legislation, the Courier-Journal reported.

Beshear may now look towards a casino amendment without specific guarantees for the racing industry, the report said.

Beshear needs to muster enough support from the racing industry to achieve an expanded gambling amendment, which could then deal with further legislation that might support the racing industrym the Courier-Journal report said.
