BOSTON, Massachusetts -- The lottery wants the state to allow them to be prepared for online gambling by changing the law, State House News reported.
The present law does not allow online gaming even where there are no cash prizes, the report explained.
The lottery is keen to research technology and logistics so it can be competitive in the event that online gambling becomes a widespread reality, according to State House News.
The lottery is also taking note of the impending impact that casinos in Massachusetts will have on its revenue sources, the report noted.
