LONDON, England -- Bookmakers who were hoping to increase the number of fixed odd betting terminals in their stories may not see limits increased, according to a This is Money report.
The bookies were hoping to see the limits increased following a recent government report which seemed to support local authorities being able to allow more machines in certain circumstances, the report explained.
However the head of the Gambling Commission dampened matters when he insisted the Bookies would need to show that an increase in machines would not lead to an increase in problem gambling, according to This is Money.
