Minnesota casino hosting MMA Cage event

RED WING, Minnesota -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- On Friday night, December 11 at 7 p.m. the Treasure Island Event Center will host a spectacular Mixed Martial Arts Cage Fighting event featuring MMA Super Star and UFC veteran Joe "Diesel" Riggs, who will take on Ray Steinbess (14-3) in a battle that sends the winner to Strikeforce on Showtime in January, 2010.
Riggs fought in Minnesota 6 years ago and is thrilled to be coming back. This will be the first time they have faced each other in the cage and should be a battle of epic proportions. Another feature bout is Strikeforce veteran Kaitlin Young (who fought superstar Gina Currano almost a year ago) is back and ready to make her run for the Strikeforce title as she takes on undefeated Muay Thai phenom Shana Olson. Olson is looking forward to competing against a fighter of Young's caliber because a victory would propel her to the next level in the sport.
Scheduled fighters* include Joe "Diesel" Riggs, Ray Steinbess, Drew Wells, Shane Emmons, Isaiah Larson, Mike VanMere, Kaitlin Young, Shana Olson, Mike Downey, Derrick Smith, Derrick Abrahms, Ryan Stock, Phil White, Rich McParland, Nate Schut and Steve Merth.
