HOUSTON -- (PRESS RFELEASE) -- Nevada Gold & Casinos, Inc. added to its exiting 900 slot machine route operation in Deadwood, South Dakota, by entering into an agreement to operate approximately 50 slot machines at the Midnight Star Gaming Emporium, a casino and restaurant located in the heart of Deadwood.
Nevada Gold will own and operate the slot machines under a five-year revenue sharing agreement with the casino's owner. This will be the 21st location in Deadwood where the company provides such services.
Ernest East, Nevada Gold's interim president, commented, "We are delighted to have reached this agreement with The Midnight Star, which has long been one of Deadwood's premier tourist attractions. Given the casino's favorable location and high-quality amenities, we believe it has the potential to be one of our most productive locations."
Mr. East added, "The agreement also demonstrates the success of Nevada Gold's operations in the Deadwood market. We are pleased to have earned the confidence of The Midnight Star and believe that our performance will create the potential to add even more properties to our route."
Deadwood is the only community in South Dakota that is permitted to have commercial gaming. Located in the Black Hills area, Deadwood attracts more than 1 million visitors annually.
