New Manila casino to face off against Macau

MANILA, Philippines -- Manila will see the Solaire Manila casino open on Saturday, the Bangkok Post reported.

The Solaire Manila hopes to tempt mainland Chinese gamblers and especially VIPs away from Macau, the report said.

Several other large casinos will join the Solaire Manila in 2014 and 2015, but this year Solaire Manila only has to contend with the four other casinos in the capital and one at the airport, according to the Bangkok Post report.
