GHANA -- Allegations have emerged that some Ghanaian football officials indicated a willingness to fix matches, according to The Guardian.
The allegations came out of a Channel 4 programme that featured an incriminating interview with an official in a management position of Ghana's under-20 team, the report said.
The Ghanaian Football Association moved to immediately reassure, stating the two men had been reported to the police and that no such contract had been signed by the GFA, the report said.
None of these allegations relate to the World Cup matches, over which the danger of possible match fixing always looms, the Guardian report stated.
