LONDON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Cashplay.co, the global platform for online and mobile game monetization via player-versus-player cash tournaments, has announced a partnership with multiplayer mobile gaming platform Nextpeer. The deal will enable Nextpeer’s network of over 1,000 iOS and Android game developers and studios across the globe to access new revenue streams by integrating cash tournaments into their games.
There are over 2,000 games using Nextpeer’s multiplayer functionality, with over 12 million users worldwide. Following the cashplay.co integration, users will be able to challenge opponents to play for real-money stakes. The platform enables multi-player modes in traditional single-player games. Suited to skill-based games, cashplay.co’s sophisticated skills-matching engine will ensure users play against others with similar abilities, providing them with the best gaming experience.
Nextpeer chose to work with cashplay.co due to the team’s extensive experience in cash handling and fraud prevention, in addition to the platform’s global reach and robustness. Speed and ease of integration were also key factors, as Nextpeer has a number of developers keen to offer cash tournaments immediately.
Shai Magzimof, CEO and Co-Founder of Nextpeer, commented, “Both the gaming industry and the players have craved a solution like this. The developers love the idea of a new and different way of monetizing their games while gamers have been thinking, feeling and blogging about a much-needed way to improve social gaming. We are proud to be a part of this revolution that benefits both sides.”
Jarrod Epps, CEO of cashplay.co, commented, “This partnership is a perfect fit for us, as Nextpeer is all about allowing games developers to add social elements to their games and driving up player-engagement levels. There was already a clear demand for this new approach to monetization among its extensive network of game developers, and we know from our own research that there is demand from the players. So it’s great that we’re able to integrate swiftly and expand the reach of head-to-head cash tournaments on mobile games to such a huge audience.”
