Pala Casino to join Lunar New Year festivities

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Table games players at Pala Casino Spa and Resort can celebrate the Lunar New Year, The Year of the Rooster, 28 January to 11 February, and win extra cash in the casino's $30,000 Good Luck Drawing.

Privileges Card Club members can start earning entries into the $30,000 Saturday, 11 February, cash drawing from 9 a.m., Saturday, 28 January, until 2 p.m., Saturday, February 11, by playing Blackjack, Pai Gow Poker, Fortune Asia Poker, Texas Hold'em, Baccarat, 3-Card Poker, Mississippi Stud, Crazy 4 Poker, DJ Wild, Roulette or Craps. (Live poker play is not included in the promotion.) Privileges Card Club membership is free at the Privileges Center in the casino.

Blackjack players will receive one drawing entry for every All-Red (Hearts or Diamonds) or All-Black (Spades or Clubs) Blackjack and includes Free Bet and Blackjack Switch on original hands dealt. Pai Gow Poker, Fortune Asia Poker and Texas Hold'em players will receive one drawing entry for every Full House or better. Baccarat players earn entries with each Natural Tie with a Natural 8 or a Natural 9 (all players), plus additional entries can be won by players who bet and win on the Dragon or Panda. Three-Card poker players will earn a drawing entry for any Straight; Mississippi Stud or Crazy 4 Poker, Three-Of-A-Kind or better; DJ Wild, Four-Of-A-Kind or better; Roulette, all "straight up" bet winners (35-1); and Craps, three points made on the Fire Bet for those who made the bet. Guests will be required to fill out each entry legibly and enter them in the $30,000 Good Luck drawing drum that will be located at the casino's North valet entrance.

Drawings to win a share of $30,000 will start at 3 p.m., Saturday, 11 February. Winners must be present. The schedule includes:

• 5 p.m. - $300
• 6 p.m. - $500
• 7 p.m. - $1,000
• 8 p.m. - $2,000
• 9 p.m. - $5,000
• 10 p.m.-$6,000
• 11 p.m.-$7,000
• Midnight - $8,000

Traditional Lion dances will be held through the casino at 8 p.m., Saturday, 28 January, and Friday, 10 February, and traditional Asian dishes will be offered at Choices the Buffet during The Year of the Rooster. The menu will include: Asian Fried Rice, Asian Style Roasted Duck, Teriyaki Chicken Skewers, Egg Rolls and Pot Stickers.
