PALA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Southern California poker players will have more opportunities to win cash in September at Pala Casino Resort and Spa as the Poker Room concludes the Pala Poker Summer Open, Monday and Tuesday, September 1-2, and hosts a New Player Appreciation Tournament at 10 a.m., Sunday, September 14.
The final PPSO event will be the NLH Labor Day Classic $15 Bounty/$3K Guarantee (#15) at 12:15 p.m., Monday, September 1. Registration will be at 10 a.m. and the buy-in will be $70+$15. Players will start with $10,000 in chips and there will be a $10 staff buy for $3,000 more chips. Levels will be 20 minutes and late and re-entries will be allowed for three levels with a full stack. Each player will have a $15 knockout bounty which is included in the prize pool. The PPSO will then offer players a special $2,300 bonus drawing that starts at noon Tuesday, September 2, and ends at 2 a.m. Wednesday, September 3. Players can earn one virtual entry for playing in any PPSO event or by playing in any cash game from midnight August 21 until midnight September 2. Players can win $100 each hour from noon to midnight on September 2 and $500 at 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3.
The Player Appreciation Tournament will be played at 10 a.m. Sunday, September 14. The buy-in will be $40 with a $5,000 guarantee. Players will start with $5,000 in chips and there will be a $5 staff buy for $3,000 more. Levels will be 20 minutes.
September also will see the continuation of the new Graveyard Hold’em High Hand promotion, which will be in play from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Sundays and 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, with winners receiving $50, and the new Omaha Blues 6-12 Omaha H/L feature game, which will be played at 10 a.m. each Saturday starting September 6. All chips used in the game will be blue.
A new-to-the-region Ante Up Tournament will be played at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, September 21. There will be no blinds, just antes, which will increase every 15 minutes. The buy-in will be $55 and first place will be guaranteed $1,500. Players will start with $8,000 in chips and there will be a $10 staff buy for $5,000 more. Levels will be 15 minutes with late/re-entries for four levels with a full stack.
Pala Poker’s ongoing, popular promotions will continue, including the High Hand, which will be in play from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Monday/Wednesday. Hold’em will pay $100 and Omaha, $75. The Rolling Hourly High Hand will continue from 9 a.m. to midnight Thursdays and Sundays and from noon to 6 a.m., Mondays and Tuesdays. The Limit Flush Marathon will be in play from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays (3-6-9 limit and above), and the ever-popular Chase for the Dough again will be in play from midnight September 1 until midnight September 30, with a $10,000 prize pool. Players win by accumulating live-play hours. Forty hours wins $60; 60 hours gets $200; and 80 hours, $400. When players cash out, hours return to zero. A new addition to Chase for Dough in September will be the Refer a Friend program. The player who refers a friend will earn Pala bonus bucks for every tier point the friend earns in live games.
A Nooner Tournament will be played starting at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, September 28. The buy-in will be $125 with a $3,000 guarantee. Players will start with $3,000 in chips and there will be a $15 staff buy for $5,000 more. Levels will be 30 minutes and re-entries will be allowed for four levels with a full stack. There will be no re-buys or add ons.

Thursday Deep Stack Turbo: 7:15 p.m., $45 buy-in with a $1,200 guarantee; $3,000 in starting chips with a $10 staff buy for $5,000 more; $10 bounties, which will be added to the prize pool.
Friday Night 2K: 7 p.m. The buy-in will be $35+$5 with a $2,000 guarantee. Players will start with $3,000 in chips and there will be a $5 optional staff bonus buy for $1,000 more.
