LONDON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Next-gen poker room PKR.com today unveiled the latest update to their award-winning poker software, which follows up the success of their virtual drinks feature with the introduction of virtual food, tableside "lucky" collectables, an array of new chip tricks and an expansion to the existing virtual drinks menu.
Since 2006, PKR’s signature in-game experience has offered poker fans an added layer of realism through customiszble avatars, rich environments, emotes and chip tricks. With their latest software release, players can now use PKR Points to purchase virtual food – e.g., pizzas, olives and sushi - to consume in a series of distinctive animations, or gift to friends at the table. Players will even get the chance to emulate "TeddyKGB" from the cult poker film Rounders by savoring virtual cookies. The PKR virtual drinks cabinet also expands with the addition of a range of tipples - e.g., lemonade, Mexican bottled beers, cider and vodka tonics.
For the superstitious poker player, PKR has also introduced collectable items mirroring real-world "lucky" card protectors, including toys, horseshoes and miniature sports items. Most anticipated, however, is the arrival of 10 new chip tricks, with innovative animations such as "The Omelette" and "5 chip star" set to make their debut. Also included in version 2.09 are a number of enhancements and additions to the wide variety of avatar clothing and accessories.
Chief Operating Officer Leon Walters commented, "Our goal at PKR has always been to deliver an engaging and entertaining experience and with the release of the latest version of our Poker software we've expanded on our popular virtual-goods product range to take PKR to the next level of immersion."
