Report cites Downstream Casino Resort's strong economic impact

OKLAHOMA -- A recent independent study has concluded that Downstream Casino Resort injected $1 billion into the economy over five years, Tulsa Business reported.

The report recorded the impact of the casino in the region, citing the creation of 1,640 jobs and $7 million in annual taxes, the report said.

With phase II of the project now complete including completion of a second hotel, further economic benefits are projected, according to the Tulsa Business report.
