Report says tracks sustainable without slots

ONTARIO -- A report released today has concluded that some Ontario racetracks are sustainable without slots, the CBC reported.

Strangely the report concurrently concluded that there are no examples of horse racing being self supporting without public funds, the CBC said.

The report did not recommend continuing with the slots program at the racetrack and suggested cutting the number of live racing dates at tracks instead, the report noted.
