Rivers Casino Schenectady's upcoming promotions

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Guests at Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady will have a chance to win thousands in cash, free slot play or their choice of a brand-new car, truck or SUV during the $270K Rivers Weekend Wheels promotion.

Throughout March, Rush Rewards members can to earn points on slots, video poker and table games for entries into the $270K Rivers Weekend Wheels drawings. Guests will receive one entry for every 10 points earned from 25 February through 31 March, along with one free bonus entry every day they visit the casino and swipe their Rush Reward card at a Promotional Kiosk.

Drawings will be held at 8 and 9 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout March. During each drawing, five guests will be selected to choose a displayed briefcase to reveal cash, free slot play, or a brand-new vehicle. The guest who picks the briefcase containing the vehicle grand prize will win their choice of a 2019 Chevy Camaro, Equinox or Colorado.

Guests who win the grand prize may also select $20K cash, or $32K free slot play in lieu of a vehicle.

Winners will have three minutes to claim their prize and must be present to win.

$30K Rivers Blackjack Series – Guests who play 5+ rated hours each week from 17 February to 17 March at eligible table games will be invited to participate in the following week’s Blackjack Tournament preliminary round and play to win their share of $5,000 cash and a spot in the Final Round. Weekly preliminary rounds will be held on 2, 9, 16, and 23 March with the final round on 30 March 2019. The top player from each preliminary round, as well as three wild card players drawn on 30 March, will participate in the final round, where they’ll play to claim their share of $10,000 cash.

New Rush Rewards Member Promotion – Throughout March, every new Rush Rewards member, upon sign-up, will be able to choose between an instant prize of $10 free slot play or risking that instant prize to roll a pair of dice for their chance to win up to $250 free slot play. All new Rush Rewards members will also receive an instant $10 Match Play coupon.

Friends with Benefits – Throughout March, current Rush Rewards members who bring in a friend to join the Rush Rewards program will receive $10 in Free Slot Play instantly. Limit of one redemption per month.

Senior Days – Young at Heart – Every Monday in March, Rush Rewards members ages 55 and older will enjoy free valet parking from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., free live entertainment at Van Slyck’s from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., an unlimited soup & salad lunch special for $9.99 at Dukes Lounge from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, and a complimentary regular coffee or fountain drink at Villa Italia between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Guests will receive an entry into an exclusive slot tournament between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., where the 10 high scorers will split $2,500 Free Slot Play. Guests may also book a one-night $55 hotel stay on Monday or Sunday each week, based on availability and exclusions.

Food and beverage
Schenectady Restaurant Week – As part of Schenectady’s restaurant week, a special multi-course dinner will be available at Dukes Chophouse from 4 March through 10 March for just $25. In addition to Dukes regular menu offerings, the special menu will be available Sunday through Thursday from 4-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4-11 p.m. The three-course menu will include soup du Jour; a side salad with mesclun mix, heirloom tomatoes and cucumber; an entrée selection of filet Oscar, grilled pork chop Milanese, or vegetable risotto; and a choice of classic vanilla cheesecake or flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Dinner is $25 per person, plus beverages, tax and gratuity. Reservations can made at the hostess stand or through Dukes Chophouse at (518) 579-8850. Guests must be 21+.

St. Patrick’s Day Specials – Saturday, 16 March and Sunday, 17 March, guests will be able to enjoy specialty themed food and drink items at Dukes Chophouse, Flipt, and Van Slyck’s. Dukes Chophouse will be offering a choice of corned beef shank with cabbage & mashed potatoes for $30 or Fish ‘N’ Chips for $25; Flipt will have lucky green milkshakes, along with a corned beef sandwich with fries and a 12 oz Guinness beer special; and Van Slyck’s will have green beer on tap and 12 oz Guinness bottle special along with a monster pretzel with beer cheese.

March Madness Specials – During the NCAA Basketball Tournament games, guests can purchase a dozen boneless wings and 12 oz. Coors draft for $9.99 in Van Slyck’s. The special will be available on 21-24 and 28-31 March, 6 April and 8 April.

$2 Draft Specials –Throughout March, a $2 domestic draft beer special will be available at both Dukes Lounge and Van Slyck’s bars during operating hours.

Events and entertainment
Mardi Gras Dinner Show – Guests will enjoy a taste of New Orleans on 6 March, along with an exciting live performance from Grammy Award-winning Cajun music artist, Terrance Simien, during the Mardi Gras Dinner Show at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and entertainment begins at 7 p.m. Dinner will be served during the show and includes a Mardi Gras salad with assorted greens, roasted corn, black beans, and tomato with a chipotle ranch dressing; a chicken and sausage gumbo served with Cajun rice; and a classic king cake for dessert. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will also be served. Tickets are $30 and are available at Rivers Casino and Resort.

Rodney Atkins – Saturday, 9 March, award-winning country music recording artist Rodney Atkins will bring his unique blend of gritty, tender, and honest hit songs to the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center. His hit songs include “Take A Back Road,” “It’s America,” “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy),” “These Are My People,” and “Watching You.” Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $35 and are available at Rivers Casino and Resort.

Unforgettable Fire Concert – Friday, 15 March, Rush Rewards members will experience the next best thing to an actual U2 concert when Unforgettable Fire takes the stage at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center, making their return after being part of Rivers’ inaugural season of the popular outdoor concert series, Harbor Jam. The show is free and exclusively for Rush Rewards members. All Rush Rewards members may receive 1 complimentary ticket at the Rush Rewards Center on the day of the show. Limited first-come, first-served seating will be available. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Mullett Concert – Take a time machine back to the glory days of hair metal on Saturday, 16 March when ultimate 80’s hard rock tribute band, Mullett, hits the stage again at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center. The show is free and exclusively for Rush Rewards members. All Rush Rewards members may receive 1 complimentary ticket at the Rush Rewards Center on the day of the show. The McKrells - Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Celtic music favorites, The McKrells. The popular Irish band will perform live at the Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Event Center on Sunday, 17 March, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The show is free and open to the public.
