Singapore anti gaming ad backfires

9 July 2014

SINGAPORE -- In what can be described only as an uncanny coincidence Singapore is left contemplating its recent problem gaming advert, which featured Germany thrashing Brazil in the World Cup, Reuters reported.

The advert designed to warn people of the dangers of gambling, featured a young boy dismayed by his dad who has bet his whole life savings on Germany, the report said.

In view of yesterday's astounding defeat of Brazil by Germany the advert has slightly lost its message of the dangers of betting on a losing team and the effects of gambling on loved ones, Reuters reported.
