PHILADELPHIA (PRESS RELEASE) — SugarHouse Casino is saying thank you to its 1,000-strong workforce with a surprise $200 check for each employee … and a Mega Millions ticket. All active SugarHouse employees will receive the unexpected bonus package today.
"We're demonstrating our appreciation to the team that's made SugarHouse the premier gaming and entertainment destination in Philadelphia," said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. "They surprise and delight our guests every day; so today, we wanted to surprise and delight them."
Earlier in March, SugarHouse Casino employees voted theirs jobs among the best in Philadelphia. SugarHouse was named one of the "2012 Top Workplaces" in the annual contest presented by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. The program recognizes the area’s top employers based on nominations and feedback from their employees.
Last year, SugarHouse employees also voted their casino one of the city's "Best Places to Work" in the Philadelphia Business Journal rankings. Similar to "Top Workplaces," the "Best Places to Work" program encourages employees to openly rank their place of business in a voluntary, anonymous survey, which is evaluated by a third-party research organization.
