Harris, a homeless man in Kansas City, was asking folks for spare change when Sarah Darling gave him the entire contents of her coin purse, including her engagement ring, which she’d taken off earlier in the day.

But here's the truly remarkable thing. When she retraced her steps and remembered what she’d done, she found Harris in the same place the next day and told him she may have given him something very valuable the day before.

"Was it a ring?” he asked her. And when she said yes, he returned it to her. She was so thrilled to have the ring back, she gave Harris every dollar she had on her.
But that didn’t seem like enough. So her husband started a GiveForward campaign, which has raised more than $170,000, all of which will be given to Harris to get his life back on track.

It would have been pretty easy for Harris to take that ring right to a pawn shop and get some quick cash when he realized what was in his cup. But he's been rewarded many times over for making the right decision and holding onto the ring until the owner came back for it. Kudos to Harris and everyone who has contributed to the fund to support him.
