We regret to inform you that the clowns are back at it again.

Ahead of the release of the movie It, based on a 1,200-page book on what is surely everyone's most beloved form of entertainment, one small town is Pennsylvania is being terrorized by a telltale sign of clown-based malevolence: red balloons tied to storm grates, the calling card of the nightmare-inducing Pennywise.

The police are probably right; it's most likely just a joke. But in the meantime, just in case, please stay away from the sewers.

This isn't the first time evil clown-based shenanigans have struck terror into the hearts of many. (You may remember the killer clown craze of September 2016.) And if the cyclical nature of Hollywood is any indication, it certainly won't be the last time.
