Ukash featured in fifth annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200

16 July 2014

LONDON -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Ukash, the leading online cash payments provider, has been recognized for its success in business growth and international sales with its appearance in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200.

The International Track listing is an expansion of the Sunday Times Track 100 league table, which Ukash has won for three successive years. The league table ranks Britain’s mid-market companies with the fastest-growing international sales.

Ukash CEO David Hunter explained that “2014 has been a fantastic year of recognition for Ukash, with industry awards including best unbanked prepaid card from the Prepaid365 Awards, and our fourth consecutive Queen’s Award for one of Britain’s best exporters.

“Ranked at number 72 out of 200 private companies in the list for the U.K.’s fastest-growing-company award, this latest achievement underlines the importance of the role we are playing in empowering consumers in the online arena. We are delighted that our hard work reinforcing confidence in consumer attitudes online has not only paid off, but has also been acknowledged.

“As we continue to develop and expand our global network we are not only creating a solution that is easily accessible, we are also giving the payment sector the ability to grow and reach new customers.

“We are also expanding our network into new territories such as Africa and LATAM, in order to bring our product to those without access to traditional banking channels.”

Ukash enables consumers to transact online with over 500,000 retail outlets worldwide, giving them the same benefits as those with a credit or debit card. Its acceptance lies within communities that are driven by cash and may have a banking structure that isn’t strong enough, or communities that may not have a traditional banking system and credit facilities at all. Ukash is seeing double-digit growth in countries such as Spain, France, Australia and Canada as it continues to expand its networks. Each day an average of 90,000 Ukash transactions are made worldwide, reflecting the benefits of flexibility, security and an understanding for those who are unable to attain credit.
