WAUKEGAN, Ill. and BILOXI, Miss. -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- WMS Gaming, Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Incorporated (NYSE: WMS), announced today that a 73-year-old Michigan resident won a $7.2 million jackpot on a WMS The Lord of the RINGS™ progressive penny slot machine at the Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi, Miss., on Friday evening, February 15. The jackpot exceeds the previous largest win on a WMS Wide-Area Progressive slot machine, which occurred in Atlantic City, when a player won $4.9 million on the Reel Adventure® link in January 2011.
