(PRESS RELEASE) -- Now at $4.3 million, the Mega10 Keno jackpot at the Plaza Hotel and Casino is overdue to hit and continues to rise.
A multi-jurisdictional progressive game, Mega10 is offered in casinos across the U.S. The Plaza is the only property to offer Mega10 in Downtown Las Vegas. Tickets cost $1.50. To play, 20 of 80 numbers are drawn in Keno, and 10 must be matched to the 10 Mega10 numbers wagered to hit the jackpot. Mega10 also offers payouts for matching fewer of the 10 numbers played: 5 ($1.50), 6 ($10), 7 ($100), 8 (1,000) and 9 ($7,500).
“Statistically, the jackpot should have hit at around $2.3 million, so the race is on because the jackpot is rising quickly,” said Weldon Russell, director of bingo and keno at the Plaza Hotel & Casino.
The Plaza has a live Keno lounge on the casino floor where players can enjoy the thrill of the game with draws happening every 5-8 minutes, daily from 11 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
The Plaza also has multiple Keno monitors throughout the casino floor and at the Sports Book Bar, Omaha Lounge, Hash House A Go Go, and inside the Bingo room on the third floor. Members of the Plaza’s Plaza Rewards Players Club can earn points for Keno play.
One Mega10 ticket can be played at the Plaza for up to 1,000 games (it stays in play for a week). Players have up to a year to collect winnings on tickets played for 21 games or more and 7 days for tickets played for 1 to 20 games.
Mega10’s odds of matching all 10 numbers picked are 1 in 8,911,711. In comparison, California Lottery’s SuperLotto Plus is about 4.5 times harder to hit than Mega10, and has a current jackpot of about $13 Million, about 3 times higher than the Mega10 jackpot. The odds of hitting the SuperLotto Plus jackpot are 1 in 41,416,353.
Once the Mega10 jackpot hits and is reinsured, the jackpot will restart at $1 million.
