I am not looking at comps in these articles. I am looking to give you the best return on your money. And that’s it.
However, I will indicate at what level of betting comps may come but I have no idea of what those comps may be, how the casinos will rate your play or the like. Take what I give you with a big grain of salt.
Comps? Well, they will come if and when they come. Getting comps is merely getting money back based on the money the casino figures you’ll lose. They aren’t winning propositions.
Here is a winning proposition – mostly that is. It has a minor downside to it but that downside is indeed minor.
I call this the “one and done” betting scheme at craps. If you place bet the 6 or 8 for $30, the winning payoff is $35. The house take on this is 1.52 percent or $1.52 per $100 wagered. That house edge is pretty low by any standards. It is second only to the Pass Line with Odds. (I’m ignoring the darkside bets in this.)
Now let us take the 6 or 8 and show how you can increase the bet in multiples of six dollars:
Placing the 6 or 8 (you will place only one of these, not both):
Lower limits:
$12 pays $14
$24 pays $28
$30 pays $35
Medium Limits
$60 pays $70
$90 pays $105
$180 pays $210
Higher Limits will bring you comps in almost any casino. What they are? I do not know. Each casino will have its own formula but these medium limits will get you some comps. Once again, comps are not really in the purview of this article. We are trying to get the most gamble out of our money.
Important facts. You are doing the one and done technique. You make one bet; you win, you can decide whether to go up to a higher limit or not. I suggest you go slowly. You are in no rush to increase your bet. Take your wins and wait before you increase your single bet.
This technique should give you plenty of time at the table if you keep your betting limits based on your bankroll.
All the best in and out of the casinos!
