MIDDLETOWN, Pennsylvania – (Press Release) – Feb. 21, 2001– Pennsylvania Lottery officials announce that a claim has been filed at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, for the Saturday, February 17, Super 6 Lotto jackpot.
One ticket matched all six winning numbers in the February 17 Super 6 Lotto drawing. The holder(s) of that winning ticket opted for the cash value of the jackpot when the ticket was purchased.
They will receive their winnings - a total of $27,038,029.50 less 28 percent federal withholding - in a single payment.
In addition to the top jackpot prize, 49 players matched five-of-six winning numbers in Saturday's drawing to receive $6,130.50 each. Matching four-of-six winning numbers garnered 5,327 players $52.50 each. An additional 141,931 players matched three-of-six winning numbers, each receiving $2.
The jackpot had been growing since Jonathan and Wendy Ohlsen of Whitehall, Lehigh County, matched all six winning numbers in the November 15, 2000, Super 6 Lotto drawing. They also opted for the cash value of that jackpot, which totaled $18 million.
The winning numbers in the Saturday, February 17, Super 6 Lotto drawing were 09-28-39-43-49-61. Tonight's Super 6 Lotto jackpot has an annuity value of $3 million and a cash value of $1.5 million.
The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state Lottery that designates its proceeds to benefit older citizens.
