Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady to host 3rd Annual Electric City Poker Series
25 August 2025(PRESS RELEASE) - -Poker fans are in for a treat when the third annual Electric City Poker Series returns to Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady, running Monday, 15 September, through Sunday, 28 September.
The series features six tournaments and four satellites over 14 days in the Rivers Casino Poker Room and Van Slyck’s, with more than $300,000 in total guaranteed prize pools. Every event champion will receive a winner’s trophy.
The opening event, from 15-21 September, is the $400 buy-in Mini Main Event No-Limit Hold ’em with a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players can choose from six Day 1 flights for a chance to advance to Day 2, with one in eight players moving forward and guaranteed to finish in the money. A $1,500 double-bag bonus will also be awarded for each surrendered stack.
The Electric City Poker Series Main Event is a $1,100 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em tournament with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. It features three Day 1 flights, with a $4,000 double-bag bonus in play. The winner will also receive a package to compete in Flight C of the $1,600 Ante Up Championship at The Venetian Las Vegas, set for 13-17 November.
New this year is the Milestone Satellite for the Main Event, running 21-24 September. Each $145 buy-in satellite will award one in 10 players a $1,100 seat in the Main Event.
The fan-favorite Rivers Revival Turbo returns with a new $300 buy-in to boost the prize pool. Once a player is eliminated, they can “revive” with 20 Big Blinds and continue play. Also returning are the Ladies Event, Seniors 50+ Event, and Omaha/Stud High-Low Event.
