(PRESS RELEASE) -- Vegas Infinite, presented by PokerStars, is now available on PlayStation 5 in another first for the free-to-play social casino videogame. The launch gives console players aged 18 or over the chance to download and play Vegas Infinite for free, with no PlayStation VR2 headset required.
Armed with a DualSense wireless controller, PS5 players can jump into the high-rolling, stake raising universe of Vegas Infinite and challenge friends and players all over the world, including those using PlayStation VR2.
They’ll have access to Vegas Infinite’s full suite of authentic play money casino games, including cash and multi-table tournament poker, roulette, blackjack, and an electrifying portfolio of slots, with craps just around the corner.
Players can be themselves with a giant selection of customizable accessories and make their mark with hundreds of interactive props, all while studying their opponents’ tells and chatting in real time, just like in the live game. There’s also a huge selection of immersive environments to choose from, including private suites, the Galactic Space Station, Showdown Saloon, Macau 2050 and the luxurious PokerStars Casino One, all rendered in stunning 4K graphics and with ultra-smooth 60fps gameplay.
James O’Reilly, Director of Disruptive Innovation at PokerStars, said: “Launching on PS5 introduces a brand-new audience of console players to Vegas Infinite and gives everyone the chance to be part of our community whatever their platform of choice. We’ve been working tirelessly with our development partners at Lucky VR to rework our game for console and I’m very proud of the result. The controls are intuitive, the multiplayer gameplay is lively and compelling, and we’ve taken full advantage of the immense power of PlayStation 5 to showcase the depth and vibrancy of our environments. I can’t wait to explore them with our players.”
Vegas Infinite first launched in 2018 as a groundbreaking virtual reality experience, available on Meta Quest and Steam platforms. The game arrived on Sony platforms in April 2023 with a virtual reality edition for PlayStation VR2. Later that year in September Vegas Infinite went live on PC, adding a ‘flatscreen’, non-VR version to its portfolio in one of the biggest updates in the game’s history. A mobile version followed in May 2024, ensuring Android players are just a tap away from the action wherever they are.
Vegas Infinite uses Tox Mod, an AI live chat monitoring tool, to assist its dedicated moderation team. Players also have access to a range of in-game safety tools including the option to take time out from games, set spending limits, issue player reports, and customize the extent of their interaction with others in-game.
