World's First Hollywood Instant Game Spotlights British Columbia Lottery Corp.

12 February 2001

HARTFORD, Connecticut -- (Press Release) -- Feb. 12, 2001 -- The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (``BCLC'') and MDI Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ SC:LTRY) (``MDI'') have reached agreement for a Hollywood-themed instant lottery game featuring a grand prize dream trip to the city of the stars.

This is the World's first instant game promotion featuring the Hollywood Sign and Walk of Fame. In addition to the customary cash prizes, the game's opening act is a grand prize Hollywood, California vacation for two. This second-chance bonus promotion is also loaded with exclusive Hollywood merchandise prize packages. The merchandise items range from Millennium Film Collection Sets to personalized Walk of FameĀ® Stars, T-shirts, sunglasses and more.

MDI Entertainment has licensed the exclusive rights to the ``World's Most Famous Sign'' and the Hollywood Walk of Fame through its agreement with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, in care of Global Icons in Los Angeles.

``Nothing defines fun and excitement like Hollywood, and this game really has the potential to generate both among our players,'' said Barry Auliffe, Director of Marketing for the BCLC. The lottery expects to generate gross revenue of $3 million from the game.

``The Hollywood experience grand prize is something the winners can tell their grandchildren about. Very few places on the planet are as thrilling, glamorous or memorable as Hollywood,'' said Steve Saferin, President and CEO of MDI.

The 45-foot-high sign is a historical landmark in the hills above Hollywood, California. It is the most famous sign in the world, according to the Hollywood

Chamber of Commerce, which renovated it in 1978 to celebrate Hollywood's 75th Anniversary. The original was erected in 1923.

The Walk of Fame has grown to include both sides of Hollywood Boulevard and both sides of Vine. It immortalizes more than 2,000 stars and celebrities, and is still growing at a rate of about 20 new stars each year.
