WSOP Main Event Final Table down to three players

17 July 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- After nearly six hours of play, the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event Final Table is down to its last three players seeking to etch their name in poker history as the winner of the largest Main Event of all time. Adam Walton, Steven Jones, and Daniel Weinman will take to the felt one last time and play until a new champion is crowned.

The newly-minted 2023 World Champion will take home $12,100,000 in winnings and the Main Event bracelet, featuring approximately 500 grams of 10-karat yellow gold, 2,352 various precious gemstones, including 42 carats of round genuine diamonds, 425 black and red stones to accentuate the suits and a removable golden poker chip that sits in the center of the bracelet.

Steven Jones (United States) – 238,000,000 chips
Based in Phoenix, Ariz., Jones entered the WSOP Main Event with $245,536 in live tournament winnings. Now, with three players remaining, Jones is guaranteed more than 16x his lifetime earnings with a prize of $4,000,000 or more. Jones’ deepest run in the WSOP was in 2019, placing second in the WSOPC $400 Double Stack.

Daniel Weinman (United States) – 199,000,000 chips
With more than $3.7 million in career earnings, Weinman came in as one of two WSOP bracelet holders at the Final Table. As a regular international winner, the Atlanta, Ga. native has won tournaments in Spain and Australia and finished first in the 2015 WSOP Circuit Cherokee Main Event domestically.

Adam Walton (United States) – 165,500,000 chips
A professional poker player from Seattle, Wash., Walton has succeeded in smaller tournaments with several wins. No stranger to the WSOP, he has 19 career cashes including a 42nd-place finish in the 2021 Main Event. So far this year, Walton has cashed twice at the WSOP, placing 358th in Event #39: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack and Event #59: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Freezeout.

The final three will take the Main Event stage inside Horseshoe Events Center at 1 p.m. PST on Monday, 17 July.
