2026 World Series of Poker is underway
26 May 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- After a festive Memorial Day weekend here in Sin City, the biggest poker series of the year is ready to get underway.
Today, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, day one of the 57th annual World Series of Poker begins at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas.
Thousands of poker players from all over the world have already made the trip to Las Vegas, helping kick off what is set to be one of the most pivotal WSOPs in recent years.
WSOP Event #1: $550 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Mystery Millions - Flight A
Taking one of the most popular events at the WSOP and lowering the buy-in to attract even more poker players, Flight A of the $550 No-Limit Hold’em Mini Mystery Millions serves as the perfect starting event for the 2026 WSOP.
At the 2025 WSOP, the $1,000 Mystery Millions drew an entry total of 19,654, the largest in the event's history, with eventual winner Michael Wilklow claiming his first bracelet and the $1,000,000 top prize.
Starting today at 12 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, the first of six day one flights for the Mini Mystery Millions will begin. Each poker player is permitted 2 re-entries per flight.
WSOP Event #1: $550 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Mystery Millions Day One Flights:
- Flight A: Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 12 P.M. PST
- Flight B: Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 10 A.M. PST
- Flight C: Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 10 A.M. PST
- Flight D: Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10 A.M. PST
- Flight E: Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10 A.M. PST
- Flight F: Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 6 P.M. PST
Mystery Bounties in the $550 No-Limit Hold’em Mini Mystery Millions
While the buy-in may be lower for the Mini Mystery Millions compared to the Mystery Millions, there is still great riches for the poker player lucky enough to win the biggest bounty.
Mystery bounties in the $550 Mini Mystery Millions come into play on day two of the event, scheduled for Sunday, May 31, with cards in the air at 1 P.M. PST.
With $200 of each buy-in going into the Mini Mystery Millions bounty pool, one lucky player will walk away with the $1,000,000 top bounty.
During the 2025 WSOP, Thomas Zanot and Tyler Montoya both pulled the $1,000,000 mystery bounties within one hour of each other, with Montoya even gifting each player at his table $10,000.
WSOP Event #2: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed
The $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed event begins today at 2 P.M. PST, with the event scheduled to run for four days.
With a $5,000 pricetag, the event is sure to draw some of poker’s best full-time professional players who look to secure a big score and add a shiny, new WSOP gold bracelet to their wrist.
At last year’s WSOP, Antonio Galiana won his second WSOP bracelet in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed tournament, taking home $582,008.
