(PRESS RELEASE) -- BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing and Bally’s Corporation have unveiled the next chapter of their collaboration, Bally's Fightnight by BKB, one of the most innovative 360 partnerships in sports. The franchise unites the incredible action of bare knuckle boxing with Bally's gaming and hospitality venues, its proprietary ForceIQ punch sensor technology and its media distribution to change how combat sports are watched, played and monetized. Every event is staged at a Bally's location, every punch is measured by Bally's-built technology and every number is delivered across Bally's platforms and EstrellaTV FAST channels, an ecosystem only a company with Bally's reach across venues, gaming and media can deliver. Built on results that have both Bally's and BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing, the world's largest professional bare knuckle boxing organization, delighted with the partnership so far, the next event is a deepening of the relationship: an exciting fight card returning to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Biloxi on Friday, 23 October.
Soo Kim, Chairman of Bally's Corporation, said: "Bally's has always been about creating experiences you can't get anywhere else. We own the venue, we built the technology and we control the distribution. That's a 360 partnership few companies in this space can offer, and we're excited to keep building on it."
David Tetreault, CEO of BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing, said: "Four years ago Soo Kim and I set out to build the most data-backed combat sport on earth. The results with Bally's have been incredible, and this next event takes the partnership to another level. Bare knuckle gives us the cleanest data in combat sports, and Bally's gives us the venues, technology and platform to make it entertaining and interactive. This is a completely new way to experience a fight."
Jon Lin, SVP and GM of Bally's Media, said: "Fans in the arena and fans at home see the exact same live data feed, and that changes how people engage with a fight. ForceIQ gives viewers a second screen built into the action, from punch speed to G-force readings, without changing the fight itself. Fans can tune in and see the new way to consume combat."
Built by Bally's and embedded directly into fighters' hand wraps, ForceIQ captures punch speed, retraction speed, punch type and G-force, a new way to measure and compare impact intensity that shows who is delivering the biggest G-force readings of the night. The data streams in real time to arena displays and the broadcast, powering live leaderboards, heat maps, punch-type breakdowns, fighter power rankings, predictive insights and fantasy-style scoring. ForceIQ does not change the fight or how it is scored. It adds a data layer over the action, a second screen built into the fight itself.
The model is fully integrated. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Bally's Corporation, putting a live, high-energy entertainment product on the property. ForceIQ, proprietary to Bally's, drives the same live data feed in the venue and on every screen, and fans can follow every number as it happens on Bally Sports Live and EstrellaTV FAST channels.
The card delivers the action to match. The headliner sees former BKB Lightweight World Champion Jarod "Kid Gatti" Grant (8-3, 6 KOs) take on Luis “Pantera” Guerrero (1-1, 1 KO), who steps in for Bekhzod "The Lion" Usmonov, and has everything to gain against a hungry former champion.
In the co-main event, reigning BKB Light Heavyweight World Champion Cub "The Savage" Hawkins (10-1, 9 KOs) drops down to middleweight to face undefeated Rowdy Montgomery(2-0, 1 KO), while former BKB Heavyweight World Champion "Hurricane" Ike Villanueva(5-3, 4 KOs) meets Cody "Bullet Train" East (2-1, 2 KOs) in a collision of two former UFC veterans. Biloxi's own former BKB Lightweight World Champion Monica "PhenomAmom" Medina (3-4, 2 KOs) returns home to face Claudia "Phoenix" Zamora (1-0, 1 KO) , Louisiana's Brandon "The Shredder" Shavers (5-1, 5 KOs) takes on German “The Butcher” Ramos (1-0, 1 KO), and Tunica's Jeff Denton (2-0, 2 KOs) meets Cody “Jenks” Jenkins (2-6, 2 KOs). With highly anticipated matchups, explosive action from the opening bell and real-time data tracking every punch, the event is set to deliver an unforgettable night and an electric atmosphere.
The next event with this partnership will be on Friday, November 20 at Bally's Dover Casino Resort in Dover, Delaware, headlined by former WBO junior welterweight title challenger"Hammerin'" Hank Lundy, who makes his bare knuckle debut against fellow bare knuckle debutant Jairo "Almighty" Santos.
