Nordic Partners Gaming targets esports Top 50 after CS2 team acquisition
23 September 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- Nordic Partners Gaming, the Malta-based esports and gaming company, has its sights on breaking into the Counter-Strike 2 Top 50, with a new series documenting the team’s journey towards the milestone.
NPG acquired the team earlier this year when ranked #123 in the world, with the decision reflecting its ambition to develop the roster and demonstrate its progress over time. Two episodes will be released each month on NPG’s YouTube channel, documenting the team’s development through tournament competition, preparation and tactical sessions, as well as the challenges and setbacks encountered along the way. The first teaser will be released shortly after the team’s upcoming tournament in Porto, following its opening series.
Since the acquisition, the team has already secured its first series victory and achieved a 3rd–4th place finish at Exort Fiesta Series, picking up its first prize money.

Two tournaments are coming up. From 24 to 27 September, the team plays the LEON.BET tournament in Porto, Portugal, which has a $30,000 prize pool. On 2 and 3 October the team travels to Skövde, Sweden for ROG Journey, a $20,000 event where the roster will take on some of the bigger names in Counter-Strike.
On top of this series, NPG has signed Runar "Mystixx" Borge as an official Nordic Partners Gaming streamer.
