Rivers Casino Schenectady to host 4th Annual Electric City Poker Series
28 August 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- Poker fans are in for a treat when the fourth annual Electric City Poker Series returns to Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady, running Monday, 14 September, through Sunday, 27 September, with pre-event Milestone Satellites beginning on 1 September.
The series features 12 trophy events and eight satellites over 19 unique days in the Rivers Casino Poker Room and Van Slyck’s, with more than $420,000 in total guaranteed prize pools (including 18 guaranteed satellite seats). Every event champion will receive an Electric City Poker Series trophy. The series will also feature its very own leaderboard with the top three point earners taking home $2,000, $1,000, and $500, respectively.
The $400 buy-in Mini Main Event No-Limit Hold ’em tournament will run from 14-20 September and features a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players can choose from six Day 1 flights for a chance to advance to Day 2, with one in eight players moving forward and guaranteed to finish in the money. A $1,500 double-bag bonus will also be awarded for each surrendered stack.
The Electric City Poker Series Main Event is a $1,200 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’em tournament with a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool which will run from 23-27 September. It features four Day 1 flights, with a $4,000 double-bag bonus in play.
Returning this year is the Milestone Satellite for the Main Event, running 1, 3, 8, 10, 13, 23, and 24 September. The $155 buy-in satellites will award one in 10 players a $1,200 seat in the Main Event with two seats guaranteed in each satellite, while the $285 buy-in satellites will award one in five players a seat with three Seats guaranteed.
The fan-favorite Rivers Revival returns with a $350 buy-in and a $15,000 guaranteed prize pool. Once a player is eliminated, they can “revive” with 20 Big Blinds and continue play. Also returning are the Ladies Event, Seniors 50+ Event, and Omaha High-Low Event. New to the ECPS calendar this year is the Monster Stack Rush Event, Double Green Chip Bounty Event, Pot-Limit Omaha Event, Black Chip Bounty Event, and Deuces Wild Event.
And last, but not least: from 1-18 September, any player that is playing in a promotional-eligible cash game who makes a two-card Royal Flush will be awarded a $1,200 Main Event seat.
Registration for all events will be held in the Rivers Casino Poker Room beginning at 10 a.m. on each event day.
